New translation and dubbing agencies: enterprises with no borders and schedules shaking up the marke

It all comes from the concept created by the DLM International CEO in Colombia: “we are working at the office next door”. The concept represents a great change that shakes up the perspective on how translation and dubbing services are being provided thanks to internet tools. In response to the reliable need of diminishing the processes’ response time, new grounds on specialized virtual enterprises are produced. More specifically on translation and films/videogames dubbing which, at the same time, are introducing powerful changes on the protocols and work courses.
By adopting internet means of communication, localization and dubbing agencies tend to suppress distance and contribute to constant information flow. This is based on a fast functionality available 24 hours a day having in mind the client’s need and market.
From this side of the Colombian Pacific and the Atlantic, I strongly believe that new localization enterprises will have –whether it is due to or despite the new communication tools- a decentralized, horizontal, fluent and permeable structure. The biggest international companies are the first entities who should bet on destroying the time difference to achieve greater process effectivity; specially on decisive cycles of companies on Christmas, Holy Week or summer holydays, in which delivery speed for products’ broadcast or commercialization is a collective hysteria phenomenon and all the links involved are put pressure on.
